Political Police

There have been a few instances over the past few week that have made me question the current state of Policing in the UK, especially with regard to Bias, either political or otherwise.

Being a working class lad, I've seen the move away from community Policing where the officers on the beat were a complete cross-section of the community and therefore "one of us", to the "professional Police" we have now with degree-waving graduates with no common sense, no skills, and no life experience put into situations that no training course could replicate.

Now it's all about absolutes: black and white. Now Policing is much more about enforcement rather than common sense and human rights. 

Now we have a Police force with little experience of working class life. Instead the grim estates are something alien to modern coppers and in effect they have moved from being one of those people on the estates Policing by consent, to a bunch of thugs with a war-like mentality against the citizens of the lower classes. Phrases like "War on crime", "War on drugs", only fuel the "Us and them" mentality that pervades the modern Police force.

Aided and abetted by the absolutes of fixed penalty notices introduced by Tony Blair, the Police are no longer interested in keeping the Peace. They regularly break the peace themselves, assaulting citizens to enforce wrongful arrests. 

The mentality of training that says every citizen, from a young kid to a granny should have their hands forcefully jammed up their backs, or be thrown to the ground, when making an arrest is wrong-headed. That's not Policing by consent: that is assault, that is bullying, that is just plain wrong.

Then we have bias in the Police: letting one section of the population off even when causing criminal damage and assault, to Baton-charging another section of the population when being peaceful.

Don't think we don't see the bias. Don't think we don't see the political interference. Not from politicians, but the political animals at the top of the Police Force. From inspector upwards, office politics and then political influences from various organisations sways everyone from inspector upwards.

How else do you explain one protest against lockdown being baton-charged. Yet a black lives matter protest mere days later being left alone by the Police? The same goes for the disruption and criminal damage done by extinction rebellion: untouched by the Police. But who is calling the shots? Who is making the decision to wade into one protest and back off from another? Are the pet political interests of Cressida Dick getting preferential treatment? Who is calling the shots and exactly how and why are those decisions being made?

Politically sensitive agendas are given preferential treatment, I assume to avoid political fallout.

This is not what the Police force should be doing. Their remit is to enforce the law without fear or favour. There should be no bias, no preferential treatment of political causes over others. There should be no abuse of people based on class or colour.

The Police needs shaking up. Those currently at the head of the Police need to be sacked and a new, unbiased leadership brought in.

I would utter the words "Common Purpose" again, but I've already blogged on that organisation and it's influence among the Police and other governmental organisations.

COVID-19: Police Now Acting Unlawfully.

 So now we see the true colours of the bullying types that became Police officers. 

They're handing out fines for activities that are not prohibited by the Covid rules. 

The two women walking in the Park in Derby have been let off their fines. We have seen other fines have been issued by the Police and been eventually throw out.

Now if the Police can't know what the rules are and act in accordance with the actual law, then how the fuck are the public supposed to?

People fined for sitting on Park Benches, people fined for walking in parks because they have a flask of hot drink (classed by the bent copper as "a picnic").

For fucks sake Plod, sort yourself out. You can't keep handing out unlawful fines. Start acting within the law, otherwise you are just as bad as the crims you should be catching instead of arresting grannies for sitting on park benches.

The only saving grace is the Middle Classes are getting the same unlawful, unfair Bullshit interactions with the Police the working classes on the estates have been putting up with for decades.

Hopefully if enough of the chattering classes see this, feel this, there will actually be Police reform.

The Police in the UK do so by the consent of the people. When the Police lose that consent, when they start to act as an occupying force, then the jig is up. Time to disband them and rethink the Police anew.

We need to get back to the time when a Police Officer was a member of the community doing a job like anyone else, where they did the job with the consent and the backing of the community.

Finally, if the Police are acting unlawfully, who will arrest the Police?

COVID-19: Unanswered Queations.

 It seems the media have slipped into full propaganda mode lately and just parrot the government line on anything, not just the Covid crisis. 

But there are questions that need to be asked. 

For instance why are we locking down the whole population when less than 5% are at serious risk of complications from the virus? 

Why are we  paying people that are effectively immune from the virus to stay at home?

What happens to the DNA information gathered as part of the Covid testing procedure? 

Is it stored and if it is, where is it stored and for how long? 

Who has access to the DNA information collected?

By what authority is the Government issuing Lockdowns?

What oversight is being done by the various Parliamentary committees regarding the Government's use of powers regarding Covid?

Are the Government just issuing illegal edits that can be challenged legally, or is there full Parliamentary approval?

What legal powers do the Police have under these circumstances? Are they acting legally or illegally?

What risk assessments have the Government done regarding Covid-19 and are they available for scrutiny?

How much has been spent during the Pandemic and how do the Government expect the money to be paid back?

Will taxes be raised in the future? If so, for how long?

The list goes on and on, but there seems to be no-one putting these questions to the various authorities.

There seems to be a blind acceptance by the press that the government can just issue commands and they get blindly implemented by the NHS and the Police. That's not how things work in a democracy. The government has to put it's plans before Parliament and then Parliament including the House of Lords ratify any changes to the legal framework.

If this is not being done, how legal are these edicts? Can they be challenged in court? 

For God's sake media, please wake up and do your job!

The Pussification of the Police and the Power of the "R" Word.

Well, it looks like the Police is fully committed to Political Russification. Except my cat has sharper teeth than the PC Police ever will.

So far we've seen the decades-long refusal to act over Religious Asian grooming gangs lest the Police be called racist.

The same thing is happening with the violent protesters causing criminal damage on the various protests across the country.

Thankfully the idiot that pissed on the Police memorial in Westminster has rightfully been prosecuted. I assume that was a step to far eh? Pissing on a fellow Police officer's memorial stone?

But what about the rest of us that are just as horrified watching statues lobbed into harbours, decapitated or defaced? Why can't we have the satisfaction on seeing those responsible apprehended and prosecuted.

No satisfaction for us. Instead the Police kneel in subjugation. Such is the power of a single adjective word beginning with R.

The statue in Bristol was a listed monument, damage to which can carry a 10-year prison sentence. So lets smack down those very identifiable students that did the deed. Let the Police ruin their lives and make an example of them.

Why is it those of us of a lower class have to fear our daily interactions with the Police, but a middle-class mob of students and hangers-on don't? Why do they get to act with impunity? Is it because we can't afford to sue? Are we denied justice, fairness and respect because we are poor? It seems that way.

No, it's Racism, or the risk of being called racist, that's what. The word that has paralysed the Police for decades in towns and cities across the country. The word that has allowed the rape of thousands of young girls. Children not even teenagers co-opted into drug addiction, rape and prostitution.

Think if the children... it seems only when it suits.

Think of law and order, only when it suits.

Justice....only when it suits.

Go after the anti-racist mob and you are therefore a racist apparently. Even if they broke the law, doing it in the name of anti- racism or anti-fascism appears to be a get out of jail free card.

Racism. It's always been a very powerful word. No it seems it has to power to grant you immunity from the law.

Child Sexual Exploitation.

It seems that yet again we're hearing of yet another child sexual exploitation scandal.

The Mirror broke the story, which by all reports is horrendous.  Cases go back to the Eighties, involve several hundred girls being abused and also significantly deaths associated with the abuse cases.

We all know that these rings are predominantly run by Muslim men and hushed up by their community. Such is their warped sense of "community" no one outside the grooming gangs thought to help stamp it out. The Muslim community, by their inaction sanctioned this behaviour. I've seen it in Action up North.

Of course the BBC grudgingly report the news, without once mentioning the word Muslim. But that's par for the course these days. The media are running scared of mentioning the M-word, just in case someone does a Charlie-Hebdo on them.

The Police too are running scared, so political have they become that upholding the law is secondary to tax collection and polictial correctness. God forbid they are actually caught enforcing the law. I mean, social workers were yet again telling Police the stories, gaining evidence and the Police did nothing. I guess being glorified tax extractors and rent-a-bullies are all we can expect from them.

If the question is not raised at PMQs this Wednesday, then it will be an even bigger scandal.

If deaths can be proven and the inactivity of the Police is also proven, then the line has been crossed. Enough is enough. Telford should be looking closely at John Campion, it's elected Police and Crime Commissioner. If necessary electing an official with the backbone to act.

The Rise of Police Power

Its already been widely reported about Colin Port being judge and jury and initially refusing (but eventually complying) with orders from court.

Now another Policeman, Assistant Chief Constable Bill Holland, has taken it upon himself to be judge and jury and is trying to get the biker festival called the Bulldog Bash Cancelled. He wants it cancelled, despite there being no trouble at the festival itself (only outside the event), despite the local villagers welcoming the event and the money it brings into the local community, despite the local villagers saying that last year's Police operation was disruptive, over the top and generally unwelcome. So, despite the festival organisers, visitors, local council, local villagers and tradespeople all wanting the Bulldog Bash to go ahead, Bill Holland takes it upon himself to do everything in his power to quash it.

Excuse me, but I thought the Police were servants of the people. If the local community is ok with it and actively promotes it, then the Police should respect those wishes.

Bill Holland says that the Hells Angels (who help organise the event) are a criminal gang and use the proceeds to fund drugs smuggling. The organisers have proved to the local council that the funds are re-invested and are not used for any other purposes than the festival itself, thereby earning a new 10-year licence for the event.

I say to Bill Holland, if you can prove the Hells Angels are a criminal gang, then proscribe them, if you have proof of drug smuggling, then go and arrest the smugglers. If you have proof that proceeds from the Bulldog Bash are being used to fund it, then do something about it.

But right now, all I can hear from Mr Holland is whinging and hearsay, without hard evidence. Hardly a basis for clamping down on a festival that thousands enjoy and welcome.

Mr Holland, the people have told you to leave them alone, now as their servant, you should do just that.

This is just another reason (among many) why I'm coming around to the idea that senior Police Officers should face election and instant dismissal by their local community, not selected by some commitee of jobs-for-the-boys promoters.

Far too many of the Police think themselves a cut above the rest of us and think they should act as social engineers. Thats not their job. Their job is to keep the peace and uphold the law. They should stay away from social engineering and politics.

Its a worrying trend how the Police, Politics and the Political elite seem to be melding into one. We've seen the lawmakers themselves thinking they are above the law and partial to a bit of fraud. We've seen certain elements of the Police think so too. It has to stop.

Mark my words, the public at large are railing against this. Not just the underclass, by now the middle classes are seeing things happening in politics and in public services they don't like. The staus quo has gone on too long and public services no longer see themselves as servants of the people. Instead they want to control us, surveill us, engineer us, make us their puppets. If we step out of line, the consequences far outweigh our missdeeds, in order to make examples of us. The underclass have known this for a decade or more. The middle classes are now coming into contact with the 3000-plus new laws enacted by the Labour government and the power-crazed people in charge of public services.

The public at large are awakening, they will have their say and make their mark very soon.

Are our Police Politically Motivated?

There are plenty of people in the UK that already know the Police have been increasingly politicised over the years. It started with Maggie's crushing of the miners and continued with greater pace under Labour.

The demanding of new powers by the Police (Headed by ACPO Ltd) and the puppydog rolling over of politicians and granting their every whim has got us to this stage.

It should be for the politicians to put forward new laws and the Police to enact them as public servants, it shouldn't be for the Police to request their own self-serving legislation.

Now the Police are tooling up for a "summer of rage". They expect a glut of protests by activists all over the country, taking advantage of public anxiety and getting people out onto the streets.

It mustn't happen. If protests happen at all, they should be peaceful and within the law. That way, the establishment is denied any reason to bring even more legislation into play. Its even hinted that "middle England" will take to the streets. I do hope so; those middle classes need to see and feel for themselves the monster they and the media that panders to them has created in the para-military Police we have today.
