Michael Foot has died.
Many words have already been said about him.
All I can add is he seemed to be an old-style socialist, honest and principalled. I didn't agree with much of what he stood for but at least his first and last thought was for the ordinary people of this country. Not like the neo-Marxists clothed in PR finery that we have running the Labour party these days.
