Not Quite Learning Lessons from Southport.

The Police have thankfully released details of the driver of the car in the Liverpool atrocity. 

I still think that the general details like age and ethnicity could have been released the evening of the incident in order to quell tensions.

The issue was the delay in getting the information out in the public domain. The Police's natural response is to not release information, which is wrong-headed. It's not like releasing general information would prejudice any future trial.

As it is, the unsaid information does allow speculation.

Was the 53-year old white man (note the specific mention of the skin colour) of a certain religion known for driving cars and trucks into crowds?

Was the 53-year old white man from a country like Ukraine maybe?

Was he Russian?

Was he an aggrieved football fan?

Or was this a case of extreme road rage?

The problem with releasing so little information is the public cannot assess any risk that may happen in any future event. It's incumbent on the government and the authorities not to hide information or even worse lie, so the public can asses risks. 

Its also necessary for the authorities to release as much information as possible so that the public can also decide on what policy they would like the authorities to take going forward and if necessary vote on when the opportunity arises.

Anything else is pure manipulation.

The Curious Cases of The Male Model Terrorists.

Rather curiously, it turns out the people firebombing the previous property of our beloved Prime Minister (yes, I'm being sarcastic), turn out to be a bunch of Ukrainian male models. 

Now, the question has to be asked, were these guys disgruntled rent boys upset because Starmer didn't pay a bill, were they sent by Zelensky's side to extort more money and weapons out of the UK, or were they sent by the Russian side, thereby proving that Russian intel on the West is about 5 years out of date? 

It's all a very curious affair indeed.

We Are at War But The Public Are Unaware.

Yet another outage  of major infrastructure; this time the Orly Airport outage is an indication that something is going on and we're being kept in the dark

Let there be no mistake, this is a probe of our defences, just the same as a reconnaissance party probes the front line of a battlefield. Except this is crossing IT boundaries, pushing past firewalls and raiding what's behind for intel.

These skirmishes, the power outages, the now numerous systems - major systems outages are a sign that we are in the initial stages of a conflict. With who is hayd to say without concrete evidence, but generally the only hostile state actors able to mount such an attack would be Russia or China. 

Possibly Iran, but they have more than  enough human assets in our country thanks to our porous borders.

The question is what are GCHQ doing about it? So far they seem pretty ineffective.
