How Do I Know The Shit I Know?

I wish I could tell you. I suppose I have good memory recall.

For instance I just watched a video mentioning 77th Brigade. (Hi chaps1).

From the mists of my memory I remembered one of the senior guys was a chap called Chris.

So I did a Grok search as to who are the members of 77th Brigade:

The public information is:

  • Brigadier Alastair Aitken (initial commander around formation in 2015).
  • Brigadier Chris Bell (commander from around 2017).
  • Gordon MacMillan (reported in 2019 as a reservist lieutenant in the brigade; at the time, a Twitter executive—now former).
  • Mark Lancaster (former MP; reported as deputy commander in some sources).
  • Alex Aiken (promoted in Army Reserve to Honorary Colonel role related to the brigade's media/comms group in 2019).
  • Historical predecessor unit figures (pre-2015 formation from merged groups like Media Operations Group, 15 Psychological Operations Group) include names like Captain Lisa Irwin, Captain Lorna Ward, Major Paul Smyth, Lieutenant Colonel Vickie Sherieff, Commander Steve Tatham, Stephen Jolly, and Colonel Colin Mason—but these are not current 77th Brigade specifics.
  • So how did I know, from memory, that a guy called Chris was running the show? Where did I hear that? I must've heard it somewhere? I doubt very much that he is currently in charge now. The name that I recall is now Timothy. Who? No idea.

There are many such instances of me just "remembering" information,

It's almost as if I lead a completely separate past life and every now and again it bubbles to the surface.

Is this the point I do a sly <wink> to camera?
