The truthspeak is we are all better off, just as council tax goes up (which Kier Starmer promised wouldn't), energy prices go up (which Kier Starmer promised wouldn't go up), Vehicle Excise Duty goes up (which we knew Labour would add to electric cars - don't forget Net Zero isn't about emissions), Employer NICs go up, so they employer fewer people so it's harder to get a job, then finally as part of her lovely, warm, friendly speech yesterday, Rachael announces that she's cutting benefits to people that can't find jobs because employers aren't employing because the cost is higher...
