We've already had more Socialist policies from the modern Conservatives than Neil Kinnock ever dared to put forward in the Eighties, but now we're staring a road pricing.
I think I now know why Cummings jumped ship: this Conservative Government is hell bent on getting the Brexit/Reform party into Government at the next election.
The Labour party are an ungovernmental bunch of leftards and it seems the Conservative party is sliding down the same left-leaning slope.
God save is from Rabid Socialism PLEASE!
I'm not sure what happened to Boris in hospital when he had Covid, it looks like they removed his balls accidentally. Fucking NHS!
Road pricing has been found to be the most unpopular policy going. What you're doing is making the Social mobility the realm of the rich. It is not a progressive tax, it's regressive. Those with lower incomes will eventually be forced off the roads altogether.
I've already blogged about the inequalities in the vehicle excise duty in that poor people can't afford luxury cars any more. Even cars that are close to being scrapped, because they attract a higher VED even if they are 10 or 15 years old. It'll be nearly 20 years since the VED was changed and luxury cars from 2001 will still attract a high rate of VED.
Now, as well as the regressive VED, the government want a regressive road pricing policy.
I can't sanction pricing the poor off the roads. I will not support ANY government that introduces such a policy, nor will I vote for a party that refuses to abolish it when in power.
