My take on the Whole Meghan and Harry thing.

Here's my personal opinion of what has gone on with Harry, Meghan and the rest of the Royal Family. I may be totally wrong, but I'm usually a good judge of character.

It's quite clear from what Meghan was saying in the Oprah interview that see was totally unprepared for the Royal Family.

The first instance was the mention of the courtsey, when supposedly Harry asked her if she knew how to do one in front of the Queen.

The Royal Family of the United Kingdom is unlike few other other families in the world.  There are some Royal Families that have the same levels of protocol, but most modern Western Royal families have over the decades reduced the level of formality and protocol.

Not ours. No, we have several hundred years of history, precedence and protocol layered over a family that takes family, duty, protocol and history and wraps them all up together and gives them a special precedence.

It comes as no shock that initially, Meghan's reception into the family would be very formal and impersonal. At that time she wasn't a member of the family, she was a friend of the Queens Grandson. There was no formal relationship with Harry at that times, so yes, she would be expected to adhere to protocol and the more formal aspects of an audience with the Queen of England.

The Royal Family is no soap opera, it is not a film, it is not a business or a "firm". It is a family steeped in centuries of history and you'd better adapt to it, because it will absolutely not adapt to you. You are an insignificant spec in the dust of historical record. If you want your name on that record, you understand, adapt and become one of them.

I'm sure this grated on Meghan's more informal nature. But best to be honest up front and say that to Harry before locking him into marriage. But no. For whatever reason, Meghan had her Prince and she saw this great life in front of her, where she could be centre stage.

Except that pesky protocol.

Harry was behind Charles, William & Kate and even baby George in succession. Protocol demands in that position that you quite literally stand behind them. In the pecking order and on the balcony of Buck House.

Not a good position for a diva, a famous actress used to the limelight and being centre stage. Not what she though she was getting. In acting, billing is everything and the lower down the bill you are, the worse it is for your reputation.

Not that Meghan appears to understand any of this, or wants to understand.  It seems with her unable to make way in the Royal Family, she decided to use Harry as a publicity vehicle in L.A. hitched to her hostage Prince, she would be the darling of the L.A. circuit and would finally get into those hyper-high-end parties denied to her previously being "only" a TV actress, not film or even Oscar material.

And so it came to pass that she and Harry are currently squandering his legacy in L.A. .I'm sure he's burning through his millions trying to keep up the appearance of a major Royal. But the bank balance can only do so much and Meghan really needs to earn some dough. So hello Hollywood! Hello tabloid TV! Hello one of the few networks with money: Netflix!

And Finally, hello Oprah. Finally, a big bucks ticket to shore up the coffers of the old bank account. Oprah will officiate, handing sympathetic softball questions to her "victim" Princess. A "victim" so hard done by the Royal family that if she was only accepted by them, loved by them, if only she could get them to see her star qualities, she could be the bestest ever Princess the UK has ever had.

But that pesky protocol stopped her from being that bestest ever Princess.

You know what it really was? Racism! Those Rotten Royals were denying her her rightful place at the front of that balcony because she was black! Except she isn't. Not really. Not enough for anyone to notice when they first saw her. It's only when she started bleating on about her "blackness" that anyone knew about it. Mixed race isn't black. Not true black. Not black enough to commend the sort of victimhood that a qualified 100% black person can command.

But hey, she's mixed race, so she stands for the sisterhood, the girls in the ghettos apparently.

The sisterhood that allows millionaire Oprah to sympathise with a whinging millionaire Princess on how she's been badly done by.  You know, cry me a river into your wads of cash. I don't fucking care.

I have no sympathy for someone that wasn't honest with her boyfriend on being able to cope with his family, on not being able to let him go when she realised it.

I have no sympathy for someone who continues the charade and then marries said boy, only to drag him away from his family to a foreign land.

I see a girl that has no empathy for her husband, for the person she purports to love. If you love them, set them free is still a truism. It is absolutely selfish beyond redemption to do what Meghan has done to Harry in her quest for the limelight and glory.

There. I've said by piece.

Now someone get the SAS to break Harry out and get him away from the clutches of that over-ambitious woman. Get him back to Blighty and start de-programming the poor Stockholm-syndrome suffering bastard.
